Site Right Excavation is a locally owned septic-system and light-excavation contractor serving Michigan’s Western Upper Peninsula.

Meet Phil Koski - Founder / Owner

In 2020, I found myself at home for an extended time with the birth of a new child. We’d already renovated several houses by then, and while the work from local contractors was always solid, the communication was a different story—hard to get a hold of, no clear updates, no consistency. I knew we couldn’t be the only family left frustrated by that.

That’s when I decided to start this business. From day one, we committed to treating every customer like the most important one – because to us, they are. As we grow, our mission stays the same: make every customer feel respected, educated, and confident in their project. We take the time to explain the process and answer every question, no matter how busy we get.

We started as a general excavation contractor, but over time, we’ve focused more on septic installations and gravel driveways—where clear communication and reliable service make all the difference.

I’m proud to call the Western Upper Peninsula home. With my wife and our six kids, we look forward to serving the community for many years to come.
